Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrive – Entebbe International Airport.
After giving you an overview of the tour, a representative from our organisation will pick you up from the airport and take you to your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe. After receiving an overview of the package, you will be free to relax and get ready for your gorilla safari in Rwanda and Uganda.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
After picking you up at your hotel, our tour guide will take you to Murchison Falls National Park. You will travel to Masindi via Kawempe or Kasubi and the Luwero or Hoima roads. For rhino tracking, make a visit at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After lunch, continue on to the top of Murchison Falls for a breathtaking panorama that will delight photo enthusiasts! See how the longest river in the world, the Nile, erupts from a 100-meter-deep canyon to a 35-meter-wide gorge through a narrow ravine.
The longest river in Africa, the Nile, only flows through one of Uganda’s largest national game reserves, Murchison Falls National Park. Established in 1952 during the British Colonial era, Kabalega National Park was renamed by the late Idi Amin Dada. He gave it the new name Kabalega Falls because, ever since he came to power, he was afraid that colonialists would retake any site bearing a colonial name, thus he never wanted it to have the name Murray Falls. Up until the Kony rebels’ onslaught on the northern part of Uganda in the 1990s, it was safe to visit.
However, after their fire was put out, Murchison Falls National Park has been safe to visit for the past eight years, ranking second only to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in terms of popularity among Uganda’s major national parks. More than 76 different species of mammals can be found in the park, including giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, spotted hyenas, leopards, side-striped jackals, and, in the event that the savannah grass is not too high, prides of lions. Murchison Falls is home to about 450 different species of birds, including raptors, water birds, and the fabled shoebill stork. Reptiles include giant Nile Crocodiles, savannah monitors, and snakes, which are typically seen in the beaks of flying birds.
Monkeys and primates from Budongo Forest can also be found in Murchison Falls National Park. These include, among others, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, bush infants, and l’hoest monkeys.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Ride.
Get up early, get ready, and warm up with a cup of coffee or tea to get your body ready for the early game viewing safari in pursuit of the early riser. You will look for birds, lions, hyenas, buffalo, elephants, Rothschild giraffes, Kobs, waterbucks, oribi, and, if you’re lucky, a leopard. Back at the lodge, unwind until it’s time for lunch. Take a boat ride down the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls after lunch. Three hours pass during the boat voyage along the Nile. Murchison Falls is a breathtaking display of nature’s majesty. You may anticipate seeing buffalo, elephants, crocodiles, hippos, and several bird species along the Nile. Go back to the lodge for dinner and spend the night there.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Budongo Forest – Transfer to Hoima.
Proceed to Kaniyo Pabidi for a briefing regarding chimpanzee tracking in Budongo forest after breakfast. The white-thigh horn bill, the puvel’s illadopsis, and the chocolate-backed Kingfisher, which is unique to East Africa, are among the many bird species that can be seen while strolling beneath the large, old tree species. After breakfast, make your way to Hoima.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After eating breakfast, proceed to Fort Portal. Take a city tour and stop at the limestone Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru, where stalactites and stalagmites abound. These are referred to as Nyinamwiru’s breasts, after the mother of Bachwezi’s first monarch. See the nearby crater lakes as well.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest – Nature Walk in Bigodi.
After breakfast, proceed to the Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing on tracking chimpanzees. From there, make your way into the forest and begin your search for the primates. You can see other primates, such as the black and white colobus monkeys, L’hoest, while searching for the chimpanzees. Observe the chimpanzees as they climb and harvest fruit from various trees. After lunch, head back to the resort to have a stroll in the marsh where you can see various monkey and bird species. Stay the night at your lodge for dinner.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, make your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is well-known for its diverse array of wildlife, including hippos, buffaloes, elephants, kobs, and several bird species. After visiting the crater lakes, such as the salt-loving Lake Katwe, go for lunch. After lunch at the lodge, take a boat trip down the Kazinga Channel, where you might be able to spot land mammals, crocodiles, hippos, and water birds.

Day 8: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.
Take a wildlife drive in the early morning after breakfast to see the early risers, such as lions, water bucks, warthogs, buffaloes, hippos, and birds, most of which are restricted to the Albertine Rift Valley. With its combination of open Savannah, deep wetlands, and rain forest, the park has one of the highest scores for biodiversity of any game park worldwide. After you get back to the resort, eat breakfast. Take a launch cruise on Kazinga Channel in the afternoon to see a variety of water birds, elephants, and buffaloes drinking from the lake’s edge.

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, travel early in the morning to Bwindi National Park, which is well-known for its endangered mountain gorilla population. Visitors are permitted to visit eight habituated groups in the park, one of which is reserved for scientists and researchers. Travel through the Ishasha sector, which is located in Queen Elizabeth National Park’s southern region and is well-known for its tree-climbing lion population. Depending on the gorilla troop to be tracked, dinner and the night at your lodge.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi.
Visit the park headquarters after breakfast and bring a packed lunch to attend a gorilla tracking briefing given by park ranger guides. Take a walk into the jungle and begin your search for the gorillas from the location where you last saw them the day before. Spend an hour with the gorillas when you come across them to see how they interact with one another and eat. Depending on the gorillas’ location and the type of weather, trekking with them can take up to eight hours. Stay the night at your lodge for dinner.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Not only is Lake Bunyonyi the deepest lake in Uganda, but it’s also the most gorgeous, I must say. Its breathtaking, otherworldly beauty captivates as it winds between terraced agricultural rings amid Ugandan landscapes, only to reveal greenery that defines this magnificent lake as a stunning periphery. Lake Bunyonyi is a bracing spot of serenity, comfort, reflection, you name it, and gets its name from a local phrase that meaning “place of bird.” Because it is home to several bird species, it was given the name Bunyonyi. Undoubtedly, staying here is a wise decision following your gorilla safari days in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
After consuming your breakfast punctually, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. This park is well-known for being the home of several zebra and impala populations. There are also several Ugandan kobs, impalas, dickers, bush-bucks, and antelopes in the park. After lunch, you’ll go for a nature walk to the salt lick lake region in the afternoon to see various animals licking salt from the lake. You will then enjoy a canoe excursion in the evening.

Day 13: Game Drive – Return to Kampala – Departure.
