Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Nyungwe
On arrival in Kigali, you will meet your tour guide and transferred to Nyungwe forest lodge for your accommodation; just on the suburbs of the ever green Nyungwe forest and tea plantations. This evening, you will all meet up with your tour guide for a welcome dinner.
Accommodation: Nyungwe Forest Lodge.
Meals: (Lunch, Dinner).
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe Forest
After an early breakfast this morning, you shall venture out to explore the area’s magnificent splendour. You are going to go deeper into Nyungwe Forest to find and examine these primates up close. Because of their experience and expertise with Nyungwe’s fauna, the park guides will make your visit educational by giving you all the pertinent details on the habits of the primates, including how they feed, mate, and pray.
The primates include the elegant L’Hoest’s monkey, the endangered golden monkeys, the chimpanzees, vervet monkeys, Silver, Hamlyn, Red-tailed, Dent’s Mona, Olive Baboon, Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, and strong troop of the delightfully acrobatic Angola Colobus.On the hike, you’ll get to see some fantastic birdlife. Two dozen of the over 300 bird species found in Nyungwe Forest are only found in a few highland forests in the Albertine Rift. Among these are the Rwenzori and Great Blue Turacos, the Paradise Flycatcher, the Long-tailed Blue, Orange, and White Bird, and the Forest Hornbills. After lunch, head back to the lodge to unwind before supper and spend the night there.

Day 3: Return to Kigali – Departure
You will follow the Gusakula Tea Estates and Lake Kivu after breakfast. Later, proceed to Kigali for your flight back home with lunch enroute.
