Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
After giving you an overview of your impending safari, our guide will pick you up from your Arusha accommodation and take you to Lake Manyara National Park. After arriving to Lake Manyara National Park, you will settle into your lodge, enjoy lunch, unwind for a while and then leave for an afternoon game drive. Situated at the base of the western escarpment of the Great East African Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park is home to a sizable, shallow soda lake that occupies two thirds of the park. Numerous species of animals can be seen in the park, such as vast flocks of flamingos drawn by the lake’s algae, one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of elephants, and the unusual tree-climbing lions.
Accommodation: Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti Plains.
After breakfast, your journey to the Serengeti National Park will take you by the breathtaking high-lying farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We are leaving the highlands behind as we head down into the Serengeti National Park, often known as the “heart of wild Africa.” The Serengeti plains stretch endlessly, sweeping into the distance. Some of the most abundant wildlife habitats can be found in the Seronera area, which is situated in the park’s heart. It is distinguished by the Seronera River, which brings a diverse range of wildlife that fairly represents the bulk of the Serengeti’s species and acts as a crucial water source for the region. You go on an afternoon wildlife drive in the Serengeti National Park once we get to the park in time for lunch.
Accommodation: Mbalageti Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 3: Full Day at the Serengeti Plains.
We will take you on a morning game drive along the Sogore River Circuit after your early breakfast. This circuit winds through the plains south of the Seronera River, and along it you can see lions, Thomson gazelles, Topi, ostriches, and cheetahs, among other wildlife. You will head to the Visitor Centre, which is near the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and free campsites, after your game drive. Along with several fascinating animal exhibits, the centre has a gift shop where visitors can purchase region maps and informational brochures. Since the store serves refreshments as well, we will eat lunch there. Later We will have a drive through the Kopjes Circuit in the afternoon, which circles the Maasai Kopjes anticlockwise and is renowned for housing many lions and some enormous cobras. Around the plains are worn granite outcrops known as kopjes. The majority of these outcrops are little ecosystems that offer drinking water in pools that are left in the rock by the rain and shade. Lions may hunt well in the Kopjes, particularly during the dry seasons when most animals visit to feed.
Accommodation: Mbalageti Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater.
We will depart the lodge for the Ngorongoro Conservation area after eating an early breakfast. Our next trip will be Olduvai Gorge, which has a long history that dates back to the beginning of time. The anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey found the skulls of the early males, also known as “Handy Man” and “Nutcracker Man,” here. You will reach the resort in time for lunch, after which we will spend the remainder of the day hiking over 550 meters into the Ngorongoro crater to observe wildlife. The Ngorongoro National Park is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including massive African elephants, lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as herds of wildebeest, eland, warthog, zebra, buffalo, and hippo. The park is also sustained by a year-round supply of water and food. Next, we’ll go to Lake Magadi, one of the crater’s primary features. It’s a sizable but shallow alkaline lake in the southwest. This is typically the home of a huge number of flamingos, hippos, and other aquatic fowl.
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 5: Full Day at Ngorongoro Crater.
You continue on a full-day wildlife drive after breakfast, descending 550 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. One of the few places in Africa with such a high concentration of wildlife, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to an estimated 30,000 creatures, including some of the few remaining Tanzanian black rhinos. The crater’s year-round availability of water and food is the main draw for a wide range of species. The park is home to zebras, buffalo, herds of wildebeest, eland, enormous African elephants, warthogs, and hippopotamuses, among other creatures. This stunning national park’s enormous population of predators, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, is another major lure. We are going to have a picnic on the crater bottom.
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 6: Transfer to Tarangire National Park.
We will make the transfer to Tarangire National Park after your breakfast. The park, which is primarily made up of low-lying hills on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, extends along the banks of the River Tarangire. Massive Baobab trees and Acacia woodlands make up the majority of the park’s natural vegetation, with vast marsh areas found in the southern regions. Wildlife is drawn to the river and the wetlands, particularly in Tanzania during the dry season. Unquestionably, the park is home to some of the biggest herds of elephants in Africa. The Tarangire is also home to a number of uncommon species, including as the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. You will go on an afternoon game drive after having a picnic lunch following your morning game drive. Later evening, you’ll retreat to your lodge to unwind and rest.
Accommodation: Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 7: Return to Arusha – Departure.
For a morning wildlife drive in Tarangire National Park, you will need to rise early. After breakfast, you will head back to the resort to finish packing and check out. After that, we’ll return to Arusha.
